I've had a journal for years and years, and now I'm turning over a new page in my life, from when I first started elisafyre.

I'm trying to write differently, particularly in that I'm writing for myself and going to attempt full honesty.

Anything I want to say sounds incredibly self-centered to me... although I guess that's what LJ is, you know? I'm easily defined by many categories- brunette, bi, divorced, youngish, academic, crazy, dreamer, immature... but I (perhaps too optimistically) hope that my sum is greater than the various parts of which I'm made. Broken fits me best, currently. But I'm here.

Things that I enjoy:
graphic novels, fantasy/sci-fi, pretty boys, crazy girls, my various and amazing friends who I absolutely do not deserve, dying hair (my own or others), piercings, tattoos, reading books in their native languages, helping folks do research on bizarre things, getting folks into music they haven't heard before, live music experiences with awesome people and getting completely drenched in rain.

Life kind of sucks. A Lot. So damn much.

But there's always something new to do... someone new to meet. It's always been worth it, and I really have no regrets.

I wish I could say that my journal is particularly interesting, but it isn't. Feel free to add me if we have mutual friends or whatnot, but this is mainly my place to post lyrics and what's going on in my life. The interesting convos and such usually involve alcohol and hanging out in person... and man, I want more of that in my life.
